Fifth Grade Tea

5th Grade Parents, Mark your calendar for Friday, March 8th, 2024.

This is a beloved tradition at Penny Road. Our 2024 Tea event will be our 28th year! Our Tea committee works hard to make this event something special that our 5th graders and their teachers will remember forever. It is almost always a favorite memory when you ask a Penny Road alumni.

For those new to Penny Road, 5th grade tea is a “Dress Your Best” event where our 5th grade students put on their best clothes, each mini sandwiches and treats off of real china plates, and of course, drink only the finest of tea. Often we have had a relative of a student come and play the piano to make the event feel extra fancy.

What makes this event extra special is any teacher that has taught the current 5th grade class is invited to attend, doesn’t matter if they are still at PRE or not. These teachers are seated to intermingle the 5th grade students and have conversations about memories during their time in elementary school and dreams and plans for their adventure ahead.
